This SATB arrangement of "Circle of Life" forgoes the traditional Lebo M opening for a more metaphorical sunrise, and shortly thereafter the sopranos and altos are the mother cooing to her newborn child, the ingonyama. The familiar chant does not appear until partway through the instrumental break, and continues euphorically through the modulation to the thundering finale. There are opportunities for ambitious sopranos and basses to reach the extremes of their range, and three-way divisi for the altos.
