In 2009, following the premiere of “The Dolphin. Story of a Dreamer,” I was approached by the film's general producer with an offer to compose the music for a potential sequel. An idea for the main theme immediately struck me, and I wrote it down. Though the sequel never came to fruition, I preserved the musical idea.
Years later, in 2013, the Lima Film Festival invited me to compose a piece for their closing event, featuring the National Symphony Orchestra of Peru. Recalling my earlier composition from 2009, I presented it to the festival's production team, and they loved it. Thus, I orchestrated the music into a short piece titled “Cinematic Overture,” which was performed at the festival's closing event.
