In this fascinating about 15-minute work, Sef Albertz reimagines Bach’s solo violin landmark piece in an unprecedented Concertante Version for Piano and String Quartet. The symbolism of Bach has been expanded polyphonically, as if a drawing made on paper, in two-dimensional plane, was taken to its holographic form, as a three-dimensional object. Likewise, at a certain moment, Albertz reworks the original sound material to delight the listening experience by simulating a discreet acoustic illusion, a ‘slow motion’ effect. Perfectly timeless...!
