Exceptional Book of Amazing Christmas Melodies
As both a piano teacher and a musician I am always on the hunt for different stylings of holiday music.This book delivers! The arrangements are unique with dissonants and slightly off minor keys but each song's resolution is extremely satisfying. In other words, these songs are a delight to play (and teach) and to savor.A couple of thoughts: These arrangements are not cookie cutter in that the left hand arpeggios are always a root, fifth, and octave. Trust me-they're not! Very interesting broken chords also abound. This subtlety keeps a musician on his or her toes. This book is pricey but the arrangements are some of the best I've ever seen. I currently have four students loving this book. I recommend it highly.
