Book 3 is arranged at the intermediate level with the pieces placed in approximate order of difficulty. Rhythmic challenges include playing in 6/8 and 9/8 meters, as well as playing changing meters. Key signatures are limited to two sharps or one flat. Technical challenges include playing a variety of articulations, playing with more hand and finger independence than at earlier levels, and playing blocked and broken triads and their inversions. So elementary
This book is listed as intermediate but it is easier than that. Even though the review pages seemed easy enough, I still expected a little more and am disappointed. It is printed with really big notes which is nice when children are younger. It also took 25 days to get it. While it was listed as in stock, apparently it wasn't.
