I only wish this were available for digital download onto my iPad? As a singer who can sight read with limited vision. Having this available on tablet form would be perfect for caroling!

I have used this book for over thirty years as the Christmas carol reference for group singing. It's nickname in our crowed is the horse carol book.It has the original English versions of the carols -- so may not be politically correct. But nostalgic.Four part harmony, good readers or unison singing required.

i've had the same version since high school and this has become a staple for caroling within professional and non-professional groups. Audiences somehow always expect the traditional stuff more than the modern arrangements. My only wonder is why this is not avalable for ebook. it would be helpful while caroling at night!

I first used this book in a college choral group. Every Christmas we'd practice these songs and go caroling...at the malls, hospitals, care homes, etc. A few of my friends and I continued to use this book and carol at Christmastime for years after!! The parts are not that hard to master and (although we didn't use them) there are some not well known songs that can add some flavor to the mix while still containing the more traditional/known Christmas carols. I think I've gotten about 15 of these books so far! ^_^

I first found this great little caroling book at Thomas H. Goggan & Sons in Houston, about 1959; I think it cost about 75 cents back then, and I bought 15 copies for my small church choir. It still is the best carol book around in my opinion, with mostly traditional arrangements and traditional lyrics, which have endured unchanged all these years.Another reviewer complained about the green print, but it is a nice dark green, and quite easy to read.I've never found another carol book that I liked better. I could wish someone would make a collection in this handy size that included some of the pop songs, like I'll Be Home for Christmas and Silver Bells. But until that happens, this is the one for me.

This book has been in print for 50 years. We have about 30 copies and we pass them out whenever and wherever people want to sing. The arrangements are easy to sight-read, both for singers and pianist. People who can't read music can just use the words and sing the melody. They are great!

A great old-time caroling book. I still have one of the originals from my high school accompanying days (1960s) -- believe it or not the price marked on it in those days was 50 CENTS! We always pull it out at Christmastime.

No cons. As expected. Slow delivery - probably due to slow transport agent

I should not have ordered this one, as I already have several copies of it. It is very useful for caroling at Christmas. An improvement that I suggest is to always have a picture of the book and a list of contents, so that the buyer would know whether or not he/she already has the book.

I have used this book for years. Great for caroling and just playing around at home on the piano and singing. Perfect for parts singing.
