In this piece, nostalgia meets movement through chromatic bass lines, diminished harmonies, and melodic dialogues influenced by the spirit of classic Brazilian choro. The composition travels through expressive tonal landscapes, creating moments of tension, warmth, and resolution while maintaining the rhythmic vitality characteristic of the genre.
“ITACOLOMI” was composed in 2/4 time and explores a more concert-oriented choro language, combining traditional Brazilian phrasing with sophisticated harmonic progressions and contrapuntal textures.
