exquisitely presented score
The sonatas of Chopin remain of epic acclaim, especially Opus 35 and Opus 58. This is the Paderewski edition, with included editor's notes much the same way as the Alfred Cortot editions. These two works are perhaps two of the most original works in all the classical literature, and demand transcendental execution on the part of the performer. The scores themselves are very crisply presented in a very well bound, almost too well bound book, in that one must first condition the book page-by-page, which includes bending the spine of the book each time until one can easily turn the pages while reading. Overall, however, an excellent addition to the library of any serious and aspiring pianist.
