Born to Armenian parents in 1930 in Harlem, NYC, Souren Baronian displays his musicianship by composing and playing instruments including clarinet, soprano sax, duduk, kaval, and percussion. His unique eclectic style spans Middle Eastern, Latin, and Balkan music, while fusing jazz with these genres.
