I love watching a storm roll in over Lake Michigan. The clouds, a watercolor painting of blues and greys, stretch and shape-shift as they slowly advance toward the shore.
Chasing Storm Clouds depicts the dramatic beauty of these clouds through a soaring right hand melody over a steady arpeggiated left hand. Like the morphing clouds, Section B introduces the melody with new Major harmonies before eventually returning to the minor key in an abbreviated A1 section, marked meno mosso.
