Great Accompaniments for Vocalists, Check Lyrics
This collection offers well-crafted piano accompaniments for Vince Guaraldi's timeless Charlie Brown Christmas songs. The separate vocal staff clearly delineates the melody, allowing the piano to provide a supportive jazz texture without constantly doubling the vocal line. The arrangements are stylistically appropriate. For vocal coaches, it’s excellent for teaching phrasing. Be aware that lyrical content isn't always fully included, so prep with a separate lyric sheet if needed for certain pieces.

Excellent Resource for Developing Students
This Vince Guaraldi collection is fantastic for intermediate piano students. The new engravings are clear and easy to read, making it excellent for sight-reading practice. While no explicit fingering suggestions are included, the arrangements are thoughtfully structured. It's great for teaching syncopated rhythms inherent in jazz and will surely motivate students with familiar, delightful melodies from Charlie Brown Christmas. The play-along audio is a huge bonus for practice.

Useful edition for learning
This is a classic edition and easy to follow. The CD is very helpful and fun to play along with. One caveat is that the word vocal sometimes appears in the descriptors for this item, but the words to the songs (those that have words) are not included in this edition. I had to buy separate digital downloads to get those because I wanted to play and sing at the same time, but this edition is still useful because of the play-along audio tracks.
