Concert band and SATB choir - Grade 3
SKU: ML.011693060-S
With optional Choir (SSATB). Composed by Wayne Shanklin. Arranged by Johan De Meij. Score only. Duration 3 minutes, 10 seconds. Molenaar Edition #011693060-S. Published by Molenaar Edition (ML.011693060-S).
Chanson d'Amour was written by Wayne Shanklin in 1958, gaining fame principally through the version by the American Quartet Manhattan Transfer, who also produced in Close-Harmony style such numbers as That Cat is High, Four brothers and Tava Tive. This style is the point of departure for this arrangement too, with here and there a touch of the Glenn Miller sound.
