Composed by Hans Christian Lumbye. Arranged by Albert Schwarzmann. This edition: pdf. 19th Century, Romantic Period. 70 pages. Edition Schwalbe #1217060. Published by Edition Schwalbe (A0.1650363).

Danish composer Hans Christian Lumbye was not only an admirer of Johann Strauss. He became very successful in composing music in the light Viennese style of the Strauss dynasty and was often named "Strauss of the North". The Champagner Galopp (Champagne Gallop) op. 14 is his best known piece of music. The arrangement is one half tone lower than the original key of the composition for symphony orchestra and was commissioned and first time performed by Mozarteum Wind Philharmonic Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer at their "Three Kings' Concert" on 6 January 2025 at the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria and broadcasted live by Austrian television. A live recording of this concert is available at https://www.salzburg-windphilharmonic.at/de/happy-birthday-johann-strauss/ .
