Central Park Waltz captures the charm and serenity of a stroll through New York City’s iconic Central Park. This piece was written after a trip to visit my oldest child while they were in college in New York City. I love to just walk through the park with no particular destination in mind, watching all the people out enjoying all the different things the park has to offer. Inspired by the peaceful elegance of the park and moments of calm and joy in the midst of a bustling city, this graceful waltz weaves its way through a gentle melody that evokes the sights and sounds of Central Park: the timeless stone bridges, carousel, Bethesda Fountain, and rowboats on the lake. One can imagine a leisurely walk through the winding paths of the ramble or down the wide promenade of the mall, slowly taking time to breathe in the breathtaking surroundings.
