Fun book but CD is fast
Worked through this book with my violin teacher. I am in my first year (adult learner) and I enjoyed the song selection. The CD tracks are so fast my violin teacher could barely keep up with them. Would be nice to have an option in half speed to help master the songs.

CD could have been better
The sheet music part for this is all right, it's the CD that could have been a lot better. On the backup CD, several of the songs have a tin whistle part playing the exact same melody in unison, which makes the violin part sound like it is being played by a synthesizer. On the tracks where there is no tin whistle, the violin line is very clear. I can only imagine that the same problem would be evident when using this CD to play along with.
