This stately march was composed to mark any celebration and more specifically the anniversary of the foundation of a band. The main theme is a wonderful legato melody which is interrupted several times with flowing arpeggios. Following a regal trio melody the main theme returns with a triumphal feel. A great new march for use at any celebration.
Philip Sparke verwerkte twee beroemde Zuid-Belgische en Luxemburgse marsen in het werk March Celebration: na het eerste, originele marsthema en een tweede basthema volgen fragmenten uit de March of the Sheep en de meeslependeMarch of the Ardennes Hunters Regiment. Deze laatste gaat in de Ardennen al bijna door voor een soort tweede volkslied. Philip Sparke besluit deze feestelijke mars met zijn eigen originele marsthema.
Der erste Teil dieses festlichen Marsches basiert auf dem Kontrast zwischen dynamischen, strengen Melodielinien und einer modernen rhythmischen Begleitung im Schlagzeug. Der zweite Teil entwickelt hochmelodische Themen. Diese Kontraste stehen für die Grundwerte Tradition und Moderne, für Zuverlässigkeit und Innovation. Zugleich gelang Bertrand Moren mit Celebration March ein abwechslungsreiches Werk, das sich für viele Anlässe eignet.
