This beautiful little gem forms the final movement of Paul McCartney’s 1997 classical composition Standing Stone. About it, he said: “I don’t divide my tastes into liking rock music or classical music. I just like good music.” Its music is as haunting as its lyrics: “High above this overcrowded place a little blackbird flies through space, and all he does is search for love. Love is all that matters in the end.”.
