Carpenter's Carol tells the tale of a hard journey through the eyes of a simple worker undertaking a difficult mission at the goverment's insistence. Travelling with a young pregnant wife through a hostile terrain somehow sounds very appropriate! The harmonies are modern and the voice parts are all intentionally very melodic and purposefully weave their contrapuntal way towards a final meeting where the Lord's earthly father has been promissed angels.
