Great piece for the Advent/Christmas season
I just received the music and have not yet had an opportunity to use it. I direct a church orchestra and handbell choirs. Within the orchestra is a brass quintet of eager players. I feel this piece will be ideally suited to the 2nd Sunday in Advent service in which the brass quintet participates. It will also give my younger handbell choir (grades 3-6) the opportunity to play a rather simple ostinato, with the brass, that will add to the color of the piece. I'm very much looking forward to performing it.
