Cantus Planus was originally conceived for solo guitar; however, as the work took shape, its growing complexity necessitated the addition of a second performer. The composition unfolds through multiple, interwoven layers that are set in continuous counterpoint, forming a richly textured melodic and harmonic fabric. Within this evolving sound world, echoes of plainchant surface and dissolve, like multicolored filaments woven into the musical tapestry.

Cantus Planus a été à l’origine conçu pour guitare solo; toutefois, à mesure que l’œuvre prenait forme, sa complexité croissante a nécessité l’ajout d’un second interprète. La composition se déploie à travers de multiples strates entrelacées, engagées dans un contrepoint continu, formant un tissu mélodique et harmonique richement texturé. Dans cet univers sonore en constante évolution, des échos de plain-chant émergent et se dissipent, tels des filaments multicolores tissés dans la trame musicale.
