Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1898452).This is Pachelbel's famous and beloved "Canon in D" - but the key has been changed to the key of C (and not all of the original canonic fugal motifs are used in the arrangement). It is a bit simplified, but still very contrapuntal in nature and is divided into groups of 4-measure segments that can be repeated as needed. It is an eclectic mix of woodwinds, strings and bells, but elicits a beautiful and full voicing of the work. It is scored for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, 2 Violins, Cello and Bells - but another flute can be substituted for the Oboe - and the Bells part could be played on a Keyboard. The arrangement can be used for weddings, graduations, recitals, and ceremonies of every kind. It can even be used as an instrumental prelude or interlude in any Church service.
