A SATB choir a cappella arrangement of the original Byzantine Music Christmas hymn by Romanos o Melodos (415- 560).In this arrangement the hymn is presented both in its original byzantine form as well as in a subsequent "western classical" form but mindful to keep the original tone colour. There is also a vocal soloist part, male or female, at the conductor's discretion. The original Greek text and a transcription with latin letters is provided, as well as a translation.
