Bulgarian folk music has a long tradition and numerous typical characteristics, such as particular dissonances and complex, irregular rhythms. In Bulgarian Dances (Part II) (which can be performed together with the previously published title Bulgarian Dances) Franco Cesarini has preserved the original spirit of Bulgarian folk music, yet has imbued it with a symphonic character and brought it into the concert hall. The three different movements give us a meditative, moving folksong and a lively dance, before a distinctly symphonic part leads to a glittering finale.
Bulgaarse traditionele muziek heeft een lange traditie en wordt ondermeer gekenmerkt door0 typische dissonanten en soms complexe onregelmatige ritmes. Met deze compositie werkte Franco Cesarini verder op zijn muzikale ideeen van Bulgarian Dances Part I, en ging hij op zoek naar materiaal met een zekere simfonische dimensie en verwerkte dit in een driedelige suite waarin in het eerste deel een meditatief volkslied centraal staat, in het middendeel een levendige, energieke dans, om te eindigen met een uiterst spectalulair slot.
Bulgarische Volksmusik hat eine sehr lange Tradition und zahlreiche typische Merkmale, wie charakteristische Dissonanzen und komplexe irregulare Rhythmen. In Bulgarian Dances (Part II) (das auch mit dem bereits erschienenen Titel Bulgarian Dances aufgeführt werden kann) bewahrte Franco Cesarini den originalen Geist der bulgarischen Volksmusik, verlieh ihr symphonischen Charakter und holte sie damit gleichsam in den Konzertsaal. Die drei unterschiedlichen Satze prasentieren ein meditatives, bewegendes Volkslied und einen lebhaften Tanz, bevor ein ausgepragt symphonischer Teil zu einem glanzvollen Schluss hinführt.
Les origines de la musique folklorique bulgare sont tres anciennes et ses chants sont porteurs d'un heritage millenaire remontant aux sources de la mysterieuse civilisation de la Thrace puis a l'antique Byzance. Les melodies des danses bulgares sont uniques par les dissonances qui les caracterisent. L'utilisation de rythmes irreguliers complexes, mais seduisants, suscite une reelle fascination. Franco Cesarini, tout en en restant _x001C_fidele a l'essence meme des melodies originelles, a developpe, agremente et adapte trois airs traditionnels a la richesse de la palette sonore des orchestres d'harmonie d'aujourd'hui.
La musica folcloristica bulgara ha origini antichissime e si caratterizza, oltre a particolari dissonanze, per i suoi ritmi complessi ed irregolari. Franco Cesarini, pur restando fedele allo spirito originale dei canti, ne ha sviluppato il germe originario conferendogli un carattere sinfonico appropriato all'esecuzione in sale da concerto. I tre movimenti, molto diversi tra di loro, presentano un canto popolare dalle _x001E_fisionomie cangianti e sorprendenti, e una vivace danza, prima che una parte di carattere spiccatamente sinfonico conduca il brano all'apoteosi _x001E_finale.
