Building Technic With Beautiful Music, Book 4
I teach a senior class and have used these books starting with Book 1. Book 4 isn't any more difficult than Book 3 and is easier for seniors to read. A wonderful way to teach technic through melodic pieces.

Building Technic with Beautiful Music Vol IV
I teach violin to seniors and have found the Applebaum technic books to be challenging and fun for them. The surprise pizzicato that is placed in the tunes always brings a small to their faces. The nice thing about volume IV is that the notation is larger which makes it easier for them to read.
