This joyful and encouraging gospel hymn uses the imagery of harvest to illustrate the Christian life of faithful service and ultimate reward. Drawing on the biblical theme found in Psalm 126, the verses reflect perseverance through trials, emphasizing diligence in sharing faith and doimg good works despite discouragement or tears. The chorus is triumphant and celebratory expressing the hope and assurance that faithful labor will not be in vain, and that there will be a time of rejoycing when the harvest is gathered. This lively and rhythmic arrangement modulates to a minor key in the 2nd verse then returns joyously to the major at the chorus. I also arranged this for clarinet and alto sax so it can be played with different combinations of instruments.
