Brightest and Best AND As With Gladness/ Let All Mortal Flesh
I purchased two arrangements of Epiphany hymns for piano to use for prelude last Sunday, January 19 in the Old Chapel of Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA. Both arrangements were by Christine Sullivan Robbins and both were lovely. They were Brightest and Best, and As With Gladness/Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence. The first was used for Offertory and was very evocative. In the medley, Ms. Robbins deftly wove the two hymns in and out of each other for a very pleasing effect. I also played one of my own arrangements as well as two by Thomas Keesecker. I had many positive comments on the music for the morning.
