Bridge over Troubled Water by Paul Simon SSA - Sheet Music

By Paul Simon

Kirby Shaw's phenomenal arrangement of this Simon & Garfunkel hit ballad is contemporary choral writing at its finest! The light, harmonic a cappella opening is contrasted with this soaring fresh gospel-style setting that holds opportunities for improvisation from multiple soloists. This is an excellent choice for a pops concert or graduation. Available separately: SATB, SAB, TTBB, SSA, Show Band Orchestration, StudioTrax A/P CD.

Needs a good soloist and good pianist

This is a very solid arrangement, but there are a lot of LH octaves and leaps in the piano part. This will need an excellent accompanist, probably not a student, and also a page-turner for them. It will also need at least one confident soloist, who is capable of projecting over the whole choir - at times it can become a bit unbalanced.
