This powerful piece celebrates the 35th anniversary of the ecumenical Christian movement called Bread for the World that formed to urge political leaders of the United States to end hunger domestically and abroad. Following the theme "Rejoice, Hope, Act," the hymn "Bread for the World" rallies Christians to unite and help others feed themselves as Christ feeds us in the body of Christ. A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of this song will be donated to the organization Bread for the World. For cantor or soloist.
