This is a challenging recital-length quintet in three movements.
The opening movement is the longest and comprises a slow introduction marked moderato followed by a hard-driving allegro. The allegro is built from three sets of musical material that are alternated and overlaid in various ways. The primary material consists of two contrastic rhythmic patters with a two-voice melodic line on top. The movement present challenges in technic, range, and endurance.
The second movement is based on a chord progression I came across on Rick Beato's YouTube channel, organized as a chorale. I can't locate the exact video where I found it.
The finale is brisk and jazzy, fun to play and accessible to general audiences.
