Bourrée from Sonata in G Major for Flute and Figured Bass, here transcribed for two violins, is one of Handels many small melodic masterpieces. I have written a second part not so much as an accompaniment, but as an equal and melodic part that creates a nice interplay with the first part. . It is well suited for the teacher to play together with the student, or for two students together. This is one of 12 duets where the pieces are taken from Suzuki 2 - and where the second violin part has a more independent role than is usual in similar arrangements.
