I volunteered to begin a brass quintet program at our local high school several years ago and the interest in the group grew to where we had a 10-piece brass ensemble, with a trombone trio and a trumpet trio. While shopping online I found this arrangement and knew it was a keeper. My kids needed only two rehearsals to have it ready. I have long been a proponent of the kids playing with adult musicians in the community, and I recruited a drummer, electric bass player, and a pianist from the community to play the rhythm section parts behind the trumpet trio, and it adds SO MUCH to the piece. The kids love to play it and it is a hit with audiences!
