Bohemian Galop is a vibrant romp for six French Horns that runs just under 5 minutes and which evokes the imagery of the Bohemian countryside as used by Dvorak and Anton Reicha. The chase of the opening section gives way to a more lyric middle section, which leads into a more rhythmic transition that takes the ensemble back into the initial romp that began the piece. A grand flourish wraps everything up with a sense of joy at the completion of the work. There are plenty of highlighted spots in each part, with no one left behind. A fun piece for concerts or competitions!
