Grooves?
All 24 tunes on The Berklee Press' Blues Improvisation Complete are ruined by the constant overplaying of the drummer. This drummer would NEVER get a gig with any blues band I know of. I'm a Berklee graduate, drum set principle, with 30 years of professional experience, and I think that the blues is the hardest music for a drummer to play, to play WELL. This drummer fails miserably. However, the saxophone is my secondary instrument and I practice with this CD often. I just wish they would have used a decent drummer.
