Great Ensemble Voicings, Less for Direct Vocal Coaching
This Blues Brothers Revue chart by Roger Holmes is a robust Grade 4 jazz ensemble arrangement. The piano part, part of the rhythm section, provides excellent harmonic and rhythmic support to the full ensemble, rather than doubling a vocal melody. While not a direct vocal accompaniment piece, the strong voicings and clear arrangement make it a valuable study for understanding ensemble writing and the interplay of instrumental parts.
