His Blue Prelude is exactly what the title indicates; it's introspective with complex and lush harmonies. An Art Deco” homage to Gershwin, Ellington, and other composers of the ‘30s and ‘40s- it's perfect for an unusual piece on a recital. While we don't exactly rule out using it in worship, it might be a tad too sultry!
