“Blue” is the lead & debut single from LeAnn Rimes‘ debut album Blue. The song was originally sung by Bill Mack in 1956 and later covered by Kenny Roberts in 1966. LeAnn first recorded the song when she was only 11 years old on an independent album called All That in 1994, but re-recorded the song for her debut album when she was 13 years old. The version on the album is actually the first recording. It was accidentally released to radio and is the recording that became a hit. LeAnn’s version of “Blue” peaked at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in 1996. It was also certified Gold by the RIAA. This version features a root-based chord blocking that John and I have used in a number of our arrangements. We also added some pretty cool left-hand fills that we hope you'll like!
