Bob Dylan’s iconic protest song from 1962, Blowin’ in the Wind, is here arranged for 4-part women’s choir, with piano accompaniment, by Sandra Milliken. Originally released as single by Dylan in 1963, it was also included on his album The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan of the same year. While the song did not chart when first released as a single, a cover version by Peter, Paul and Mary quickly became very popular. This version reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and was at number one on the Middle-Road charts for five weeks. At the 6th Annual Grammy Awards, this version of Blowin’ in the Wind won two Grammys: Best Folk Recording and Best Performance by a Vocal Group. In 2003, the Peter, Paul & Mary version was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
