Versatile for Vocal Accompaniment
While primarily piano solos, this Big Band Era volume is surprisingly versatile for vocal coaching. The arrangements offer great harmonic context and rhythmic ideas. Crucially, the included chord symbols allow me to easily adapt the material to support a singer, whether by simplifying the solo lines or using the chords for a more flexible accompaniment. A solid reference for period styles.

Reliable Collection for Gigs
A very useful book for the working pianist. The 25 Big Band tunes are highly recognizable classics, perfect for requests.
