This arrangement of the hit song by American Authors keeps the strings playing in first position (except for some short passages in the cello). Work with your ensemble on keeping a steady beat with dotted eighth/sixteenth rhythms, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes. Help your students learn slash notation for repeated sixteenth notes and eighth notes rhythms. Double stops always include at least one open string. The drum part can be played by a drum set or by a section of players (or a combination to suit your ensemble's needs). Includes a Violin III (Viola T.C.) part. While the drums will add a special element to performance, the arrangement will sound full without them.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global
