It was first recorded by Emilio Tuero and later translated to English and performed by Sunny Skylar.
The Beatles played this on their ill-fated audition for Decca Records on January 1st, 1962.
This arrangement follows the Beatles rendition with liberties in the melody, a Latin style with a rock beat covered in the cello.
The “Cha-Cha-Boom” is optional but may have an appropriate place in a performance.
Running time is about 2 ½ minutes. It is short, sweet and an unusual addition to a light string quartet performance.
