Benedictus and Agnus Dei JWV 57 from: Mass in E flat, first version from 1856 by Josef Gabriel Rheinberger 4-Part - Sheet Music

By Josef Gabriel Rheinberger

The Benedictus and the Agnus Dei are part of the first version of Rheinberger’s first mass setting for choir a cappella, the Mass in E flat JWV 57. The Mass exists in two different versions: the first version of 1856 and the revised version of 1858/59. The revised version is available as a separate edition (Carus 20.277/50) from the supplementary volume 4 of the Rheinberger Complete Works. The Benedictus and the Agnus Dei from the early version – both completely different pieces from those in the revised version – can be sung alternatively or, of course, independently of the Mass in E flat. Separate edition from: Supplementary Volume 4 of the Rheinberger Complete Works (Sacred choral works without opus numbers, Carus 50.300)
