Beneath, Between, Behind by Rush Electric Guitar - Digital Sheet Music

By Rush

As recorded by Rush on the 1975 album 'Fly By Night'. Transcription and Guitar Pro 8 notation by Dan Chernow, copyright 2022. A quick but powerful little tune, this contains the first lyrics Neil Peart wrote for the band. Musically it features tight, tight playing, lots of sectional dynamic changes and Alex Lifeson alternating sliding chord figures (ala Jimmy Page) with open strings, power chords and a few arpeggiated figures. Although it doesn't contain a 'guitar solo' per se, the middle instrumental section is one of those early classic Rush moments that helped establish and solidify the powerful sound the three of them brought to this band, both as individuals and as a whole. So much great stuff tightly packed into this 3 minute tune. On a side note, as there seems to be no existing video footage of Rush playing this song live, I did have to delve into my personal knowledge base more than usual to construct, to the best of my ability, logical and correct-sounding arrangements of Alex's guitar parts. I sincerely hope you enjoy learning to play this lesser known Rush classic, presented here in it's entirely- and as accurately as possible- for the first time!
