My goal is to create something that sounds beautiful as a standalone piece of music and, most importantly, that it also makes "pianistic" sense. Each of my arrangements is made for a specific student, so the results will vary in terms of playing level. Most decisions are based on their current skills and abilities, or where I would like for them to be when they complete the piece. This arrangement was made for a mid/late beginner student working in Level 3 of Alfred's Masterwork Classics, Primary IV Class. There is a lot of jumping around, but a good student will handle it just fine and actually LOVE it. Get that initial right hand position with a 3rd between 2 and 3, and you'll be just fine. The triplet section can be tricky. Might be a great opportunity for practicing repeated notes with different fingers. Use the pedal for greatest effect, as notated. Pedal and fingering suggestions are included.
