Deze ouverture is geïnspireerd door de Italiaanse opera en belcanto en is dus zeer zangerig van aard. Daar er geen verhaal aan de basis ligt, is deze ouverture louter muziek die aangenaam om te spelen en te beluisteren is. Het stuk begint met een Adagio, een langzame cantabile inleiding, gevolgd door een lichtvoetig Allegro Vivo. Dan volgt de eigenlijke aria in een andante rubato en dit wordt even een rustmoment. Daarna keert het Allegro terug en de compositie wordt in alle vrolijkheid met een kort maar krachtig coda afgerond. Zo krijgt het werk een 'Happy-end'.

This overture has been inspired by the Italian opera and bel canto and this explains why it is extremely melodious. As there is no underlying story, the composition is meant as pure easy listening music. The work starts with an Adagio, a slow canatbile introduction, followed by a lightfooted Allegro Vivo. Then comes the aria, an Andante Rubato which creates a moment of rest. Then the Allegro comes back and the composition ends very joyfully with a short but energetic coda. Finally 'all's well that end's well'.

Cette ouverture est inspirée du bel canto de l'opéra italien et se veut donc chantante. Il n'y a pas de récit, il s'agit donc tout simplement de musique agréable à jouer et à écouter. L'oeuvre débute par un Adagio, une introduction cantabile très lente. Puis il y a un Allegro Vivo très léger. L'Andante rubato suivant est un moment de repos; en fait, il s'agit d'un air d'opéra. Puis nous retrouvons l'Allegro et la composition se termine dans la joie avec une coda brève, donc 'tout est bien qui finit bien'.

Diese Ouvertüre ist vom der italienischen Oper und besonders vom Belcanto inspiriert worden; deswegen ist sie auch sehr melodisch. Die Komposition fängt mit einem Adagio, einer langsamen Cantabile Einleitung, an. Nachdem gibt es zuerst ein heiteres Allegro Vivo und dann hat man eine Art Ruhepunkt mit der eigentlichen Arie in einer Andante Rubato Bewegung. Dann kommt das Allegro wieder und das Werk endet in Fröhlichkeit mit einer kurzen doch kräftigen Coda. Ende gut, alles gut.
