Christmas is the glory of God revealed to the whole universe using the simplest of means: a young couple, a manger, and onlookers ranging from barn animals and local shepherds to magi from the East. And, of course, a newborn child, the Son of God, Emmanuel. It is the story of a child of promise, a child of love, magnificent in its simplicity, and powerful in its message of salvation. So it is with Behold the Glory! With four narrators guiding the story, Stan Pethel captures both the understated innocence of the moment and the awesomeness of the glory of Christmas in music. Ranging from a serene and touching lullaby to a bursting forth of joy, this wholly original work truly celebrates the season and God's gift of love to us all. Performance time: approximately 35 minutes. (Limit one per church).
