Excellent, but watch for the typos!
This is a great series for the beginning to early intermediate violinist. The books begin with the most basic concepts of note reading, and by this one, book 3, familiarize the student with key signatures up to 3 #s and 3 flats, plus counting and time signatures. However, book 3 is riddled with typos, some absolutely ridiculous. The violin book isn't as bad as the viola one, but still, there ae plenty. So highly recommended, but be on the watch for puzzles missing spaces, wrong notes, etc.
