Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (First movement of the sonata quasi una fantasia) op.27 no.2
This is a choral arrangment written for SATB to compliment the piano solo rather than to overwrite it. It would be ideally suited to small ensembles, chamber choirs and community choirs who have achieved a good standard of harmony singing. It is a beautiful piece of music that it is yearning to be sung! I hope I have done it justice. Much to my surprise, it doesn't appear that anyone has done this before to this particular piece of music.
It's difficulty level is a minimum of intermediate and perhaps a little more. It will be best suited to those used to close harmony singing with some tricky intervals to master. There is a solo backing track available to buy. Listen to the full mp3 at www.choircommunity.net.
