Students will place their hands in a C 5-Finger position to play the song, and will not move far away from the position. In the left hand, students will need to occasionally extend their thumb to play Bass A’s, but everything else is in the C 5-Finger position. The right hand has a couple finger two crossovers that are notated with circled finger numbers. Both hands will also occasionally play E-Flats in the song as well, both notated with finger three, but can be used with other fingers.
This song has a D.S. al Coda, so students play measures 1-24, then move back to measures 9-16, then move on to the coda at measure 25.
Depending on where your student is at level wise, we’ve included two different versions of the song that you can use:
- Version 1 with regular note heads.
- Version 2 with note names written into the note heads.
