Composed by Robert Collister. Arranged by Robert Collister. This edition: pdf, streaming. Instructional. Educational Method. 41 pages. Robert Collister #1456870. Published by Robert Collister (A0.1898524).
This lesson book is part of the Bassoon, Melodic Lesson Series for beginning and intermediate players. The forty lessons focus on rhythm and melodies. Each lesson presents something new for the bassoon student. The series also has 16 melodic etudes for bassoon, available at sheetmusicplus, and three interactive and instructional DVDs, available at ([email protected].) The DVDs are an excellent source of information for music teachers and students not too familiar with playing the bassoon. On the DVDs Ron Daniels, (a professional bassoonist and teacher for over 40 years,) explains and demonstrates, by playing his bassoon, any new material that is introduced in the lessons. At the end of some lessons, there will be a duet. Ron plays one part and the student can play the other part together along with him. Then, they can switch parts. The DVDs also has Ron explaining additional information about bassoon playing: putting the instrument together correctly, adjusting the bassoon reed, special fingerings for certain notes, correct embucure, care and maintenance and much more.
