An exciting medium swing guitar feature based on G blues. What did you expect, E blues? You must have a guitarist who is willing to put it on the line. This is a chance for them to step up to the plate and make it happen !!! The introduction begins with the traditional guitar solo and rhythm section over an open 12-bar blues vamp. The soloist should not go over the top right away, but must still be exciting, since the main solo will happen later on in the chart. The melody is played next by the guitar in a "Herb Ellis" style, followed by stopped-time horn section under the guitar solo. This is followed by a challenging tutti section. Now it is time for the guitarist to show-off their stuff with an open solo section including horn backgrounds played on cue. There is a challenging sax soli and two choruses of a tutti section. The second chorus modulates to A-flat from the original key of G. The recapitulation modulates back to G with guitar playing the melody. After the recap, there is a guitar cadenza.
